Our newest bag, The Strong Purse, is created from our core three colors (brown, tan and natural) of rugged and iconic American Bison leather. This is a scaled down version of our ever popular (and larger) Haspel Bag and named for Anna Strong, the legendary Revolutionary War spy for George Washington.
Each bag comes with a complimentary US-made Field Notes memo book as well as a small tin of Made in USA Smith’s Leather Balm. The entire body of the bag is hand sewn with saddle stitching and the handles are sewn on a cowboy-style manual powered sewing machine - both methods use exclusively Made in USA thread from Maine.
Measures roughly 12” wide, 8.5” tall and 5” deep depending on what it has in it!
Note: Bison is typically more varied than cow leather so every piece will be unique in color and character and one-of-a-kind. We avoid major scars and range marks when selecting parts of the hide to create from, but there could be blemishes and wrinkles…and other signs of life from a wild roaming animal.
