American Bison is stronger than cowhide and carries with it more character and range marks as these American raised animals free roamed in prairies of the American west. Tanned in the United States, each Bison Cipher was hand sewn in Virginia using waxed braided thread from Maine.
Note: Bison is far more varied than the cow leather we carry so every piece will be unique in character and one-of-a-kind. We avoid major scars and range marks when selecting parts of the hide to create from, but there could be blemishes and wrinkles…and other signs of life from a wild roaming animal.
